Many factors can disrupt its balance, such as long term stressors, medication, illness, poor diet such as processed sugary/fatty foods, alcohol and genetics. Signals of imbalance in our gut micro biome include symptoms such as bloating, gas, loose stools and constipation. The reach our gut micro biome has throughout the body, its symbiosis can also lead to issues such as a weakened immune system, depression and hormone imbalances like PMS. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms or conditions, you may want to start using probiotic supplements and including probiotic foods into your diet.
